Quests
Quests are a large part of the game, giving you xp & item rewards to help you progress faster. They may not be the fastest method for leveling 1 skill at a time, but if you are going for a bit of everything, they are definitely the way to go.
This list will help you to know what rewards you can get from quests, as well as what quests are available at each stage of the game.
Quest Types
Quests come in 4 types, Chopping, Mining, Fishing, & Slaying (Archery & melee), which decide what the quest will have you do, as well as which xp type you get as a reward. You can choose the quest type you would like by clicking on the desired type's button in their menu.
Quest Givers
Quest givers are the NPCs that give you quests. There are 4 total quest givers located around the map.
Quest Rewards
5 quest rewards are chosen from the loot table listed below, with better items having less of a chance to be picked. The 5 items that are chosen will be shown in the quest menu, and when you complete the quest, it gives each item 20% chance to be picked, and then chooses 1 to reward you with. Note: If there are less than 5 items shown in the menu, that means the same item (& quantity for fish & materials) was rolled multiple times, and so it compacts them together. The chance for that item will also be merged
Example: 2 gold helmets are chosen, along with 25 catfish, an evil crossbow, and 38 catfish. the image for gold helmet will only show once, and you have 40% chance for a gold helmet, even though there are 2 catfish rewards, they have different amounts, so they will not stack, you have 20% chance for each. The evil crossbow, even though it is a less common item, now that it is chosen, it has the same chance as other items, of 20%.
Notes:
-To get either melee or archery xp from a slaying quest, hold a weapon belonging to that skill family (bow = archery) (dagger = melee).
-XP reward is based on level. The higher your level is, the higher the xp reward, up to a limit (different from each quest type). I don't have the quest info calculated up yet, and probably won't worry about it too soon. But once I do, I'll add it here for you guys.
-Once per day you get a bonus Gatarnium quest, where you get a few extra gatarniums from that quest.
